Our Ancestors

As a blogger here on FOX Weather I have begun to consider the weather in many ways I had never thought about before. How does the weather really affect us? How is its power measured and felt? Many of these things we like to blog about and discuss here on the Fox weather site. However, the is one aspect I hadn't really considered until this evening: how the weather affected my ancestors.

Kevin just posted a blog about how the weather in Texas directly affected his ancestors in the 1800s. Certainly, I have heard stories from my parents and grandparents about weather such as the Blizzard of '78 for instance, but I do not really have any stories more than a generation or two back.

This is where you come in! It would be great to hear some of your ancestors' weather stories. Let us know how it affected them and maybe even changed history!
